Your rules are code, not suggestions.

Limits like who approves a payment arrangement are checked in code before anything happens, and safety stops fire before any AI model sees the message. Asking nicely, or cleverly, doesn't move them. Over the line, the request goes to a person with a summary.

One case, start to finish.

A customer asks for a refund on a scratched grinder. Bollard cites the refund policy, sees that $140 is over the $100 limit and hands it to a person, who approves it in the inbox in test mode. Then a supplier invoice is read field by field, a subtotal that doesn't add up is flagged and fixed, and the trace shows every step.
